Jankowski went 1-for-3 with a walk, a steal and a pair of runs scored in Friday's 7-6 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy outfielder has now batted first, second and ninth in the lineup through five games this season. It appears that manager Andy Green will place the speedy outfielder higher in the lineup against righties, and then as a "second leadoff man" against southpaws. Jankowski has struggled with the bat early on, collecting just three hits in 20 plate appearances, but his .316 on-base percentage has led to five runs and a steal, which is exactly what fantasy owners expect to get out of him. With Alex Dickerson (back) being moved to the disabled list, it appears that the Padres' starting left field job is Jankowski's to lose.
