Jankowski is not in the starting lineup Thursday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Not surprising, considering he's been used often in platoon duty. He boasts a .275/.370/.360 line against right-handers this year compared to a meager .155/.220/.179 against lefties. A matchup with expected Diamondbacks right-hander Braden Shipley should prompt San Diego to start Jankowski in Friday's series opener. Jon Jay will bat second and play left field Thursday.
