James Shields was destroyed in Friday's loss to the Tigers, allowing 10 runs on 14 hits over his 3 2/3 innings of work. Shields walked a pair and struck out six in the abysmal outing that saw his ERA rise from 3.03 to 3.43. The impressive thing from the Tigers' end is that they did so much damage without use of the long ball, stringing together 11 singles and three doubles. Big Game James will try to put this one behind him and get back in the win column when he does battle against the Indians in Cleveland on Wednesday.
