James Shields struck out 10 while allowing one run in six innings Monday in a victory over the Indians. Lonnie Chisenhall's fifth-inning homer was the only damage. It was the first homer allowed by Shields in eight starts. With wins in eight of his last 11 starts, Shields has improved from 4-7 to 12-9 this season. His ERA, though, has actually increased slightly in the span, going from 3.24 to 3.33.
