James Shields shut out the Rays for seven innings, striking out 10 batters, in the Royals' 6-0 win Monday. Now that's more like it. It's just the second time this season that Shields has gone without allowing a run, and it was also his second double-digit strikeout game. Going into this one, he had allowed 16 earned runs and struck out just 14 over 25 innings in his last four starts. Obviously, the Royals are hoping for many more outings like this in the second half of the season.
