James Shields held the Tigers to two runs over seven innings but took his fifth loss on Saturday. Shields struck out eight and walked none in the sharp outing, but Kansas City's offense managed just one run of support. The right-hander heads into the All-Star break with a 9-5 record, 3.65 ERA, and 1.27 WHIP. He'll hope to be even better in the second half of 2014.
