James Shields allowed seven runs in six innings in a loss to the Twins on Tuesday. Shields fell victim to the long ball, as three of the eight hits he allowed were home runs. He walked two while striking out just three on the night. The loss came five days after Shields held the Twins to two runs over six innings. It dropped him to 6-8 with a 3.36 ERA for the year. Shields will look to bounce back Sunday against the Red Sox.
