Seattle Mariners starter James Paxton was roughed up for six runs on six hits, walking four and taking the loss in the Mariners 6-5 loss to the Indians. Paxton served up two home runs and couldn't make it through the fifth inning after his pitch count climbed to 104. One start should not be a cause for concern but Paxton's poor spring training has carried over to the season. The Mariners need Paxton to regain his 2017 magic if Seattle wants to compete this season.
