Jake Peavy turned in a quality start in his Giants debut on Sunday but wound up as the losing pitcher after allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits over his six innings of work. Peavy punched out five on the evening while walking two. His defense, specifically Dan Uggla and Michael Morse, didn't do him any favors in this one. The Dodgers broke things open with a three-run fifth inning, highlighted by an RBI triple by Carl Crawford. Peavy will look to get in the win column when he takes on the Mets in New York on Saturday.
