Jake Peavy (rib) played catch on Wednesday. Peavy threw at a distance of around 75 feet for a total of seven minutes. It's a nice first step for the veteran right-hander, who suffered a non-displaced fracture in his rib cage earlier this month. He is expected to be ready shortly after the All-Star break.
