Jake Peavy lasted just 5 2/3 innings on Tuesday, but he gave up only one run on five hits against the Giants. Peavy struck out four and walked one in the no-decision. He didn't allow a homer for the second consecutive start, nice to see after the veteran gave up at least one round-tripper in all seven starts between May 25-August 9. Peavy remains 9-5 to go with a 4.25 ERA and 1.15 WHIP in 103 2/3 innings for both the White and Red Sox this year.
