Jake Peavy allowed five runs on eight hits in five innings of Friday's loss to the Angels. Peavy struck out three and walked two in falling to 11-12. The non-quality start was his third in five outings, and leaves him with a 3.40 ERA and 180/47 K/BB ratio through 203 2/3 innings. Certainly not bad, but hardly worthy of the $22 million 2013 option the White Sox are said to be declining. The 200-inning season is the first since Peavy's Cy Young award wining campaign in 2007.
