Jake Odorizzi had a strange night on Tuesday, issuing five free passes, striking out eight and allowing three runs over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the A's. The A's did all their damage with a three-run third inning, but Odorizzi worked into and out of trouble most of the night. The five walks were the most he's given out in a start this year, as he's now walked 23 in 43 1/3 innings. The eight strikeouts are also a continuation of a trend, giving him 26 in his last 15 2/3 innings and 52 punchouts on the year. The loss dropped him to 2-4 with a 4.98, numbers he'll try to improve upon Sunday against the Red Sox.
