Jake Odorizzi allowed just three hits over 7 1/3 innings on Tuesday, but Matt Holliday's solo home run was the difference in the loss to the Cardinals. Odorizzi and the Rays deserved a better fate, but it's just the way the club has been going all season. The right-hander walked one and struck out five on the night, with Holliday's blast with two outs in the sixth inning counting as the Cardinals' only extra-base hit in the game. Alas, Odorizzi falls to 2-7 while lowering his ERA to 4.85. The 24-year-old will look for a better fate Sunday at the Astros.
