New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom will be the team's Opening Day starter, according to manager Buck Showalter. deGrom threw his first bullpen session of the spring on Monday and said that he didn't have any issues with his right elbow this offseason after dealing with inflammation and a partial UCL tear in his arm in 2021.
