Jackson was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Monday, Jeff Wilson of Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Jackson received the promotion as Tom Wilhelmsen, who had given up three earned runs in each of his last two outings for the Rangers, was optioned. Jackson has been effective with Triple-A Round Rock so far in 2016 as he's only given up six earned runs over 14.2 innings as well as racking up 19 strikeouts during that time. He'll look to transition that type of production out of the bullpen for the Rangers as the 2016 season progresses.
