Ivan Rodriguez (oblique) is expected to take on-field batting practice on Thursday. Rodriguez is again making steady progress but won't be activated from the disabled list until rosters expand in September. The Nationals seem to like that Wilson Ramos and Jesus Flores are getting regular at-bats.
