Ivan Nova will miss at least one start due to soreness and stiffness in his pitching shoulder. Nova will be examined Thursday in New York, at which point the Yankees will know if he needs to miss more than the one outing. "We don't think it's anything too concerning, but we've got to make sure," manager Joe Girardi said. "Could he be a DL candidate? Possibly. But I won't know until we get some test results." David Phelps seems likely to take Nova's next turn.
