Ivan Nova was hammered in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 10 hits as he battled through five innings. Nova punched out five and walked one. After being staked to a 5-0 lead in the first inning, he gave it all back and then some with a seven-run second. Chris Davis provided the big blow with a grand slam. Nova has allowed at least six earned runs in two of his last four outings. He'll attempt to right the ship when he squares off against the Tigers in Detroit on Monday.
