Ivan Nova threw a simulated game Tuesday. Nova was activated from the disabled list over the weekend, but the Yankees delayed the simulated game because they thought he might be needed out of the bullpen against the Orioles. "I had felt that he probably needed to see some more hitters before we could feel good about putting him in a game," manager Joe Girardi said. "I thought he looked good today. If he feels good tomorrow, we'll make a decision what's next for him." David Phelps is scheduled to start Wednesday, but it's possible Nova will replace him after that.
