Ivan Nova gave up two runs and two walks in 1 1/3 innings Wednesday against the Pirates. While he's clearly penciled in as the No. 4 starter, Nova has said that he thinks he's competing to keep his rotation spot. Slated to throw two innings, he's faced eight batters today and retired four of them.
