It was another strong performance as deGrom allowed one run (unearned) on four hits, walking two and striking out five over seven innings of a 4-1 win against the Phillies on Friday night. He tossed 103 pitches (70 for strikes) and stifled the Philadelphia offense in yet another sterling performance. deGrom (7-6, 2.94 ERA) has been a bright spot in a lackluster Mets' season and he will try to build on that when he faces the Marlins in South Florida next time out.
