Indians placed RHP Josh Tomlin on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 25, with right elbow soreness. It's possible it's a phantom injury, as manager Manny Acta only said previously that he thought Tomlin was fatigued. Regardless, he'll be sidelined at least until September 9. It's not clear at this point who will assume Tomlin's spot in the rotation.
