Indians optioned RHP Josh Tomlin to Triple-A Columbus. He was a candidate to lose his spot in the rotation once Justin Masterson returned from the disabled list, but is being sent out in order to add Zach McAllister who is needed to start on Saturday. The veteran right-hander owns a 4.47 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 77/10 K/BB ratio over 86 2/3 innings on the season.
