In his return to the big league lineup, Kirk Nieuwenhuis went 3-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in Tuesday's 9-0 win against the Diamondbacks. Recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas earlier in the day to provide depth with Juan Lagares (hamstring) hitting the DL, Nieuwenhuis wasted no time getting started. His two-run shot off Bronson Arroyo came as part of a six-run fourth inning that turned this one into a laugher early. With Chris Young (quad) due back later this week, Nieuwenhuis needs to keep producing to save his roster spot.
