In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Justin Verlander indicated that he has a desire to become Major League Baseball's first $200 million pitcher.

After the recent seven-year, $175 million contract signed by Felix Hernandez, it looks increasingly likely that Verlander will crack the $200 million mark. He still has two years remaining on his current deal before he hits free agency. The Tigers seem interested and willing to give him whatever he wants to keep him in town, and the interest is mutual on Verlander's end.
