Ian Stewart (hand) is hoping to begin a rehab assignment this weekend. Stewart is still experiencing some some pain in his left hand when he takes batting practice, but he's hoping the pain will subside soon. He was placed on the disabled list on May 12 after being hit on the hand with a pitch. He avoided a break, so he should be able to come off the DL soon after he's eligible.
