Ian Browne of MLB.com reports that it's "still too early to know" whether Jake Peavy (finger) will be ready for the start of the season. Peavy played long-toss Tuesday and will throw a bullpen session Wednesday, but he's still not able to wear a glove due to a laceration on his left index finger. "Again, the next three days will probably have a lot to do with when he gets to the mound next in a game," Red Sox manager John Farrell said Tuesday. Farrell listed Chris Capuano and Brandon Workman as options to fill in should Peavy need a DL stint.
