Hyun-Jin Ryu was torched for seven runs over 2 1/3 innings in Tuesday's loss against the Tigers. Ryu had been on a roll, posting a 3.14 ERA since his return from the disabled list on May 21. Tuesday's outing will ding the ERA a bit. The Tigers banged out 10 hits against Ryu, who also walked two while striking out two. Ryu will try to lower his 3.65 ERA and 1.29 WHIP, and improve his 83/21 K/BB ratio, when he takes on the light-hitting Padres to close out the first half at home in his next start.
