Hyun-Jin Ryu pitched extremely well in the domestic opener over the Padres on Sunday, firing seven scoreless innings while allowing just three hits, but was denied a victory when his bullpen couldn't protect the lead. The 27-year-old southpaw walked three and punched out seven in the impressive outing. After having defeated the Diamondbacks in Australia, Ryu was in line for his second victory before Brian Wilson surrendered the lead three pitches into the eighth inning. He hasn't allowed a run through his first 12 innings and will look to extend that dominance when he takes on the Giants at home on Sunday.
