Hyun-Jin Ryu has been scratched from Sunday's start against the Rockies due to a sore foot.
Ryu was struck on his foot by a comebacker during Tuesday's start. X-rays came back negative, but the left-hander remains sore. It's not such a bad thing, given the poor matchup at Coors Field. He should be fine for his next outing. Matthew Magill will fill in Sunday.
Sounds like he doesn't want to risk his ERA at Coors Field..really BS. Because I might need him today. Just great, guy.my big toe hurts when I get up sometimes. Does that mean I don't go to work?
Yea, that really hurt me. I found out 10 minutes after the game started and I lost by a few points. He did take a hard shot off that foot and it's probably safer to hold him out. You don't want him hurting his arm while favoring the foot. And, I'm thinking he doesn't know or care about Coors field.
Why did they wait so long to announce it? I noticed it just after the game started too. Too late to find a replacement. I lucked out with a win by a few points anyway, with Big Papi's late homerun. Still, it was a big pita.
