Huston Street worked around a one-out single in the ninth inning to convert his 18th save of the season in Wednesday's win over the Pirates. Street allowed Pedro Alvarez to reach on a single, but got a foul pop up and a strikeout to end the frame. The 30-year-old closer has been lights out for the Padres, now 18-for-18 in save chances with a 1.12 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and a 26/7 K/BB ratio. He is currently the MLB leader in saves.
