Huston Street (calf) will begin a rehab assignment on Wednesday with High-A Lake Elsinore. Street was cleared for the assignment after throwing a simulated game Monday with no issues. "Threw the ball well, his calf seems to be fine," Padres manager Bud Black said. Wednesday's appearance could be the only one Street needs before being activated if all goes well, possibly putting him in line for activation on Friday, the first day he's eligible.
