Hudson threw a spring-high 78 pitches, while giving up three runs on six hits and striking out three over six innings Wednesday against the Rockies. Hudson hit a double in Wednesday's game and slid into second, which is significant because he is coming off of a Jan. 6 ankle surgery. He retired the first 10 batters before giving up a single in the fourth inning to Corey Dickerson. Pitching for six innings helped Hudson build up his arm strength before the season starts. He will most likely pitch fourth in the rotation this season.
