Hudson has been bothered by a sore right hip for the past eight or nine days, but is determined to keep keep pitching through it, the San Francisco Chronicle's Henry Schulman reports. He was demolished by the Dodgers in his last start, giving up eight hits and six runs while facing just 11 hitters in a 17-0 loss. Hudson won't make excuses, but it's reasonable to assume the hip is bothering him, at least a little. Still, he is expected to make his next start Friday in San Diego, which should offer him a perfect opportunity to put together a better outing.
