Hudson gave up a run on four hits, a walk and eight strikeouts over eight innings Wednesday in a no-decision against the Rockies. The outing was one of Hudson's best since joining the Giants in 2014 while striking out a season-high eight batters. The right-hander needed only 87 pitches (61 for strikes) to get through eight innings and probably should have been allowed to finish it himslelf as Santiago Cassilla blew the lead in the top of the ninth. Hudson remains 9-9 on the year with a 2.90 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 106:29 K:BB ratio in 167.2 innings. He faces the Rockies again Monday, but this time in Colorado.
