Hudson (elbow) was activated from the 60-day DL on Monday. While in the final stages of his recovery from July 2012 Tommy John surgery, Hudson tore his UCL again and was forced to undergo a second reconstructive procedure on the elbow. The right-hander's persistence has paid off, however, as he's now back on an active roster following a successful six-game minor league rehab assignment. He'll work out of the bullpen over the remainder of the season, as he looks to show future employers that the elbow is strong and healthy.
