Hoying had his contract purchased from Triple-A Round Rock and will start in center field Tuesday against the Phillies.

EDGE Analysis

As expected, Hoying will head to the big leagues to provide outfield depth after Carlos Gomez (hamstring) was placed on the DL. It's unclear if Hoying will fill an everyday role in center field or if he'll split time there with Delino DeShields Jr. or another outfielder, but that should become clearer in the next few days.
