Holliday (quad) will travel with the Cardinals next week and could make his return before the All-Star break, MLB.com reports. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny said he's "still optimistic" that Holliday will be able to return at some point next week, adding: "We do have hopes, but understand, too, that if something doesn't feel right, look right, we can back off. But we'll continue to try to push him." The outfielder has been out since tearing his right quad June 8, but it appears he's ahead of the previously anticipated timeline.
