Holliday (quad) could be activated from the disabled list as soon as Friday, but would likely be limited to pinch-hitting at the start, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. While Holliday may be ready to return offensively, he's reportedly still not ready to play the field. As a result, he would likely only see occasional at-bats over the weekend series. With the All-Star break on the horizon, it's conceivable that he will be good to go for the start of the second half if all goes well over the next few days.
