Holliday is starting at DH and hitting seventh Saturday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
This marks Holliday's first action since Aug. 4, when he injured his back. He had routinely been hitting third or fourth for most of the season, but was dropped to the six hole shortly before his injury. The 37-year-old DH is hitting .229/.319/.430 with 16 home runs and a career-worst 26.3 percent strikeout rate in 361 plate appearances. He should be the Yankees' primary DH over the final month.
