Holliday (illness) was scratched from Sunday's lineup for the Cardinals' game against the Dodgers, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reports. Holliday was pulled after just two plate appearances Saturday due to the illness, and though the Cardinals initially expected him to return to the outfield Sunday, manager Mike Matheny decided the 35-year-old could benefit from an extra day off. Peter Bourjos will swap in for Holliday, covering center field while Randal Grichuk moves over to left.
