Holliday has shed his cast and is now wearing a splint on his thumb, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Less than a week removed from undergoing surgery to repair his fractured thumb, Holliday has started the rehab process at the Cardinals' spring training complex in Jupiter, Florida. He is currently limited to finger movement/range-of-motion activities, but Holliday seems to have every intention of returning this year and that should be realistic barring a setback.
