Holliday has been sent in for X-rays on his right hand, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran slugger exited Thursday's contest after being hit by a pitch on his hand and he was holding his wrist as he left the field. The results of Holliday's X-rays figure to be released late Thursday or early Friday, but this could be a potentially significant development if the tests reveal any sort of serious injury. Tommy Pham or Jeremy Hazelbaker are the likely candidates to take over in left field for the Cardinals should Holliday miss additional time.
