Holliday has been bothered by a sore left knee which factored into manager Mike Matheny's decision to sit the veteran on Sunday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Holliday is in an 0-for-18 slump and has dealt with soreness in that knee prior to this season. It's unclear if Matheny will rest Holliday for any more games in an attempt to get him feeling healthy again.
