Hoffman allowed just a single run on seven hits and three walks while striking out just a single batter during Thursday's win over the Giants. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Anytime you can position yourself for a win and allow just a single run at Coors Field, it's a strong outing. Unfortunately, the Colorado bullpen surrendered eight runs to rob Hoffman of his fifth win. He's been solid through six starts this season with a 2.25 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 10.1 K/9. The 24-year-old righty owns a target-worthy pedigree, too. Hoffman will look to stay hot in a daunting road matchup against the Diamondbacks at Chase Field in his next start.
