Hoffman (0-2) gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks over six innings in Friday's 8-5 loss to the Nationals. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie was much better in his second start, despite some control issues. Hoffman got into some trouble with the long ball but limited the damage to solo homers by Jayson Werth and Daniel Murphy. The solid outing lowered Hoffman's ERA by over five runs and he'll try to keep the momentum going versus the Dodgers next Wednesday.
