Mills was tagged for two home runs and struggled throughout his brief appearance. The righty has already been confirmed for a rotation spot to begin the year, so the poor performance shouldn't hurt his standing, but it's not a great sign after he recorded a 5.07 ERA and 1.44 WHIP in 2021. Mills looked better in the condensed 2020 season when he registered a 4.48 ERA and 1.16 WHIP and also posted a no-hitter.
