Though it was the right oblique that had troubled Hicks earlier this season, it's discouraging nonetheless that the outfielder is hampered by another core injury, which is expected to result in him missing more than the minimum 10 days. It's expected that Hicks' absence will open an everyday role back up for Jacoby Ellsbury, who was the team's only healthy outfielder off the bench with Clint Frazier (oblique) having yet to begin a rehab assignment.
