Hernandez (elbow) is targeting an early May return, the Arizona Republic reports. He is scheduled to throw from a mound in approximately 7-to-10 days. If everything goes as planned, Hernandez could push his way into a prominent late-inning role with the Diamondbacks at some point during the second half of the season.
